Mystery Blogger Award

The “Mystery Blogger Award” is an award for amazing bloggers with ingenious posts. Their blog not only captivates; it inspires and motivates. They are one of the best out there, and they deserve every recognition they get. This award is also for bloggers who find fun and inspiration in blogging; and they do it with so much love and passion. Okoto Enigma

Last week I received a message to tell me that I had been nominated for the Mystery Blogger Award. I had seen this award before in other people’s blogs, but I was unsure what it was about and was wondering why it was called “Mystery”. I thought that it was for bloggers who wrote anonymously but then it seemed that some award nominees were not anonymous at all. Therefore, I was particularly puzzled and, as I am the type of people who likes to understand things, I had to do some research.

Here are my findings:

The Mystery Blogger Award was created by Okoto Enigma a young beauty and fashion blogger. She created the award because she thought that there were a lot of amazing blogs that hadn’t been discovered and needed recognition. She decided to call it the Mystery Blogger Award because her name Enigma means mystery.

Here we go, mystery solved. Now all my questions have been answered, so I am happy and can proceed with my post.

Here are the rules:

  1. Put the award logo/image on your blog
  2. List the rules.
  3. Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
  4. Mention the creator of the award and provide a link as well
  5. Tell your readers 3 things about yourself
  6. You have to nominate 10 – 20 people
  7. Notify your nominees by commenting on their blog
  8. Ask your nominees any 5 questions of your choice; with one weird or funny question (specify)
  9. Share a link to your best post(s)

Conditions number 1, 2 and 4 have already been fulfilled, so let me move on to thank Michelle from The Hippy Chic blog for nominating me. I have been following her blog for a while now and I enjoy reading her posts.

Michelle’s questions:

Would you consider your family functional or dysfunctional? There are a few dysfunctional family members but as a unit, we are mainly functional. Of course, when I was still involved with my narcissistic ex- partner, it was very dysfunctional, but he never saw himself as part of the family despite my best efforts to make him feel that he belonged.

What are your core values? I made an alphabetical list of my core values recently but as I do not want to bore you with a twenty-six-word long list, I have chosen my top six (in alphabetical order): acceptance, empathy, integrity, kindness, loyalty and respect.

Would you consider yourself addicted to anything? My full name is Pascale Addictive Personality Samy!

Most embarrassing moment? I am known for “putting my foot in it” quite often. I am trying to think about the latest embarrassing moment, but it is not coming to my mind. It might be something like complaining to my colleagues about our manager while she is standing behind me.

Do pigs, indeed, fly? According to the dictionary, the verb fly has several meanings. If we consider the following meanings: travel through the air (of an aircraft or its occupants), move or be hurled quickly through the air, go or move quickly and depart hastily, then it is entirely possible that pigs can and probably do fly!

Three things about me:

I was born in Lyon, France but I have been living in the UK for over twenty-five years. I volunteered as a Special Constable with the Metropolitan Police for six and a half years. I have a seven-year-old cocker spaniel called Monty.

My nominees:

It is extremely difficult to chose from all the wonderful blogs that I read, so, to take the agony of choice away, I have decided to nominate the ten latest blogs that I started following.

  1. The Magnificent Quest
  2. Indigo Healing
  3. Maximum Impact
  4. Natal Earth
  5. Motion Fitness & Rehabilitation
  6. My Narc Free Journey
  7. leave out the label
  8. Brighton Life
  9. Mental Health and Dyslexia
  10. Practicing Imperfection

My five questions:

1. What would be your absolute perfect day?

2. What did you learn a little too late?

3. What habits do you have that annoy other people?

4. What do you most look forward too about getting old?

5. If you were a DJ, what would your DJ name be?

Link to my best posts:

Choosing my best posts is difficult and very much a matter of opinion. Consequently, what I will do instead is choose the three most meaningful posts for me. The ones that really helped me on my healing journey.

The Healing Starts, my first ever blog post. The start of a very arduous road to recovery.

Darkness, a poem that I wrote when I was still with my narcissistic boyfriend and the pain was starting to be intolerable.

No Contact, a pivoting moment in my life. The day I decided that enough was enough, that I needed to respect myself and cut all ties with him.

I enjoyed answering those questions and I hope that you enjoyed reading this post. Now I must leave you because I need to prepare my lessons for tomorrow. I have a very busy day teaching and I am also hosting the French Film Night at work. I do not know much about films, so I am getting a bit nervous…
